Resilient Guardians Program
Training for Military, First Responders and Veterans
The Breath Control for Resilient Guardians program offers non-pharmacological, evidence based solutions validated by scientific research.
Military personnel and First Responders such as firefighters, police and paramedics tend to be more likely to experience Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Operational Stress Injury symptoms. Research has shown that these high risk occupations experience significant benefits from our specific targeted therapies.
The US Navy SEALS have adopted breathing exercises and breathwork techniques to help treat PTSD symptoms among their veterans. They have also adopted our breathwork techniques to invoke focus, clarity and calm before a tactical operation or going into battle – “relaxation on command”. The US Navy SEALS only use technologies that are proven to work, they will not use anything else.
The Royal Danish Frogmen Corps have recently implemented our breathing exercises and techniques as a mandatory training regiment for all active duty personal in order to;
- increase mental toughness and composure
- improve physical fitness (strength, flexibility and endurance)
- improve resiliency to potential Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD and Occupational Stress Injury OSI incidents
We have collaborated with active duty US Navy SEALS, Royal Danish Frogman Corps, Canadian Forces Personnel, Veterans, Firefighters, Police Officers, Paramedics and Physicians to gather wisdom based on real life experiences to develop our world-class Resilient Guardians program.
Our clients are screened and assessed by a health care professional for dysfunctional breathing patterns such as Hyperventilation Syndrome (HVS). HVS is common in Military Personnel, First Responders and those exposed to chronic high stress situations. HVS can present in symptoms such as anxiety, lethargy, emotional dysregulation and insomnia. Our practitioners will work with the client to actually alter the biochemistry of the blood through specific breathing techniques to alleviate symptoms caused by various breathing disorders.
For those currently struggling with PTSD or OSI symptoms Breath Control’s somatic based therapy is designed to naturally induce an altered, relaxed state of consciousness that enables access to suppressed memories and emotional blocks. Once accessed, they can finally be resolved and either released or integrated in to a beneficial way. Many military personel, veterans and first responders who have undergone Breath Control training have reported;
- experiencing fast and lasting results
- enhanced overall sense of well-being
- regaining their old way of life from increased enjoyment and performance at work to more happiness at home
If you add a tablespoon of salt to a glass of water, the water will taste very bitter. If you add that same tablespoon of salt to a bucket, the salt becomes diluted; and if you add that same amount to a pond the salt is no longer noticeable.
The amount of salt doesn’t change, but the size of the container expands. One of the goals for the Resilient Guardians program is to expand their self-awareness, which is like giving them the capacity of a larger container. Breath Control therapy does not take away the stress or “salt” of past trauma, PTSD, OSI, addiction, anxiety, depression, etc. However, the impact becomes smaller and smaller the greater our self-awareness becomes.
Our research and collaborations have shown that “Guardians” can relate to one another’s experiences in a very powerful, therapeutic way – that works!
We can deliver our Resilient Guardian Program in a variety of platforms to accommodate policy and schedule.
- On-site clinics or workshops
- Secure online telehealth
- In person private one-on-one sessions
Resilience is all about being able to overcome the unexpected. Sustainability is about survival. The goal of resilience is to thrive.
