It was a pleasure to train Breath Control with Alexander Boldizar his devotion to his craft and quest to scientifically enhance performance is no wonder he won the gold medal in the world’s largest Jiu-Jitsu competition.
“As an athlete with sports-induced asthma I’ve been fighting with my lungs for my whole life—generally through an “exercise more!” approach, but I’ve also investigated various breathing methods to try to help. But it wasn’t until I took classes with Tyler that I found a logical scientific structure combined with simple practical exercises to fix my asthma and reduce “gassing out” during training and competition.
In hindsight, it took me far too long to understand that my “gas tank” is my respiratory system—getting oxygen through the lungs into the muscle cells—and that improving it requires intelligently improving my breathing.
Tyler’s clear, science-based and extremely practical lessons combine the best of various breathing methodologies and focus them on achievable goals. He taught me what the physiological and biochemical obstacles were, why they were interfering with my performance and how to overcome them with specific exercises. He even tailored them to my sport, Brazilian jiu jitsu. I can’t recommend him highly enough!”
